Nothing really to report to day. Our tent remained in shade until about 8:30am and after then it was too hot to stay inside. We have been making good use of the shady hammock and chairs.
We are both still on the mend, so haven't bothered going out sightseeing. That said what we have seen of the town looks really nice. It is apparently one of the oldest settlements in the Western Cape.
Cape Agulhas tomorrow, assuming the forecast thunderstorms don't cause a delay. By the looks of the darkening skies outside, it doesn't look good. That said it has certainly cooled down and it is now possible to enter our tent without a fire proof suit on!
Having had nothing much to report today, we had a bit of a surprise visit by George and Alice, who we had met at the Old Farmhouse in Tanzania. They are heading home to Cape Town and as we have been in touch along our route, they thought that they would stop by and say hello. It was lovely to catch up with them and we should see them again tomorrow at Cape Agulhas. We have been promised dinner tomorrow evening, which will be very nice after the day's long ride.
