Better weather this morning, perhaps by the time we are ready to leave we will be back to the glorious sunshine that we have become accustomed to.
After a bit of a slow start we booked a taxi to take us on a sightseeing tour tomorrow and then went into town to see more mosaics. This time we visited the Church of the Apostles, which is situated on the edge of the town. Entering the church we came across a problem, you can't buy an entrance ticket here as it is part of a combination ticket with the archaeological park and I had left yesterday's tickets back at the hotel! The guy on the desk obviously took pity on us and decided to let us in anyway, by the total lack of people we gathered that he didn't get many visitors. The large mosaic that covers the floor is dedicated to the 12 Apostles and was created in 578 AD. It was made all the more impressive by the fact that the attendant let us beyond the barrier on the ground floor to have a closer look. Thanking him with a small tip, we headed back towards the town to do a bit of window shopping and to have a coffee or two.
We would love to say that our day was filled with lots more excitement, but it wasn't. Hopefully I should have more to report tomorrow.
